Jim was born in San Mateo, California. He attended Sunny Brae Elementary School, Borel Middle School, and Aragon High School. He was a 1974 graduate of Aragon High School. During his years at Aragon High School he was an active participant in Cross Country Track in the Fall, and Track in the Spring. He continued his education after high school. Jim attended the College of San Mateo, and graduated with a AA Degree in Business Administration. After the College of San Mateo, Jim attend San Francisco State University. He graduated from San Francisco State with a B.A. in Business Administration. He financed his own college
expenses by working in the retail food industry.

He went on to have a successful 40 year career as a salesman in various industries such as pharmaceuticals, food processing equipment, and real estate. He had a many interests outside of work such as aviation, politics, gardening, and business. He received a private pilot license at the age of 16, and flew general aviation aircraft as a private pilot.

He ran for Congress in the early 1990's for the Republican Party Congressional seat in San Mateo County. He was an active member of the Republican Party in San Mateo County, and was a member of the Republican Party Central Committee of San Mateo County. Every spring Jim would plant a full vegetable garden at his home in San Mateo. He shared his vegetables with neighbors and friends. He was an active investor and a part time realtor.

He is survived by his brother Bill, 2 nieces Angela and Michelle, and his cousins Judy, Louis and Bob.

He will always be missed by friends and family. We will never forget him.
