Alan Wayne Yamaguma, son of Frank and Mary Yamaguma, was born on October 18, 1951 in San Mateo, California. A resident of Redwood Shores, Alan passed away on October 13, 2021, in Redwood City, CA surrounded by his family.

He attended public schools in San Mateo and studied at San Francisco State University. He worked in management for numerous companies in the air freight industry for his whole career.

Alan married Michele Dea in 1982. They had a daughter, Erin, followed by a son, Casey. Together, they traveled extensively for Alan's business and Michele's art career.

Active in sports, he played softball, volleyball, and golf. He also enjoyed watching sports, from his son Casey playing football to local professional teams such as the Warriors and the 49ers.

Alan was preceded in death by his father (Frank) in 2017.

Alan's life will be remembered and cherished by his mother (Mary), his four siblings (Mark, Gayle, Leslie, and Wendy), his wife (Michele), and children (Erin and Casey).

A memorial service will be held at Sneider & Sullivan & O'Connell's Funeral Home in San Mateo, CA on Friday, November 12 at 10am. The family respectfully asks that all attendees of age be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Masks will be required indoors during the service. Thank you so much for your understanding.
