Tribute & Message From The Family

Born in Stamford, Connecticut, Lulu was the daughter of Nicholas and Jenny Agnostopoulos Chocas. To all who knew her, Lulu was a beautiful and inspirational lady, setting an example of living noble standards. All who knew her were uplifted.

She taught her family that those things which are important in life are to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, to be thankful to Him in all things and to help one another. An amazing cook, she taught her children to take care of their homes and families. She loved to garden and to have family gatherings.

Lulu was an accomplished artist who had worked at Vogue Magazine as an Illustrator Fashion Designer until she met her husband, Guy Salmas. She then moved to California and became the mother of eight children.
While rearing her children, she taught Sunday school and worked at Hanna Barbera Studios as a Cartoon Illustrator and also worked at an art production studio that produced paintings for model homes and businesses.

Lulu is survived by her children, Reverend Peter Salmas, Nicholas, Jennifer, Paul, Anthi, Steve, Patricia and Michael and 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great child, and several nieces and nephews. Her sister Helen Rudomanski resides in Columbia, Maryland. Lulu was preceded in death by her husband Guy Salmas, and her brothers, Steve and Stratty. Lulu's love will be felt by all who knew her.

Funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, 10/15/2021 at the Church of the Holy Cross, 900 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont, CA 94002. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Church of the Holy Cross, goholycross.org

Condolence & Memory Journal

To Steve Salmas & the Salmas family,
It´s been many years since I´ve seen your Mother and your Father when they owned the restaurant next to Raley´s in Oakley. They were both the kindest people I would go there for lunch or after my shift & they would shop at the store. Seeing your Mother´s beautiful smiling photo this morning brought back so many good memories. My sincere sympathy on her passing & that of your father. May your memories of them always bring a smile. April from Raley´s, long ago.
