Tribute & Message From The Family

Enjoy Moments, and Make Memories

Hi from Lynn Millare,
I am a planner and a bit of a control freak, so I've pre-written this farewell message.
Hopefully, I left this earth peacefully and with loved ones as is often said.

I was born in San Francisco to parents Jaime & Dative Millare, and my younger brother Mateo, who were all gone too soon. I believe in heaven, so God willing. I'm happily with them now.

I attended Mercy High in San Francisco, University of California at Berkeley, and had a meaningful career of 26 years at Genentech. It's been wonderful to have made some lifelong friends from these times of my life. Friends are the family you choose.

I never married or had kids of my own, but I'm so grateful for my half-siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family and cherished friends who have brought much joy to my life and who have shared my passion for good meals, music concerts (especially that old school R&B) and travels. Thank you for helping to make my life heaven on earth.

Though I've battled colorectal cancer on and off since 2007, I am thankful that I've been able to do what I love. My retirement years were especially fun and happy. I thank Dr. Ari Baron and the staff of Pacific Hematology Oncology for their kindness and care for me as well as for my father (2000-2005). I also thank the clergy of St.Mathew's, St.Gregory's, and my support group at St.Mary's Cathedral SF for helping me strengthen my relationship with Christ and our Blessed Mother. Consequently, I've had unwavering faith throughout this time.

Though you may think that I, too, am gone too soon, please know that I've lived a fulfilling and joy-filled life. I'd be thrilled if you hold a kind memory of me.

Until we meet in heaven - enjoy moments and make memories. Above all, love one another.

Love and best wishes from Lynn
