Tribute & Message From The Family

The angels have called upon you to come home. Fly high and fly free daddy. The best is yet to be. Love you always and forever.

After 24 years our beloved dad has reunited with an angel in heaven, our mom. George was a loving Dad to Vivian and Richard Timms, Denise Lunardi and Lydia & Marc Biagini. Grandpa to Jason & Liz Shaughnessy, Amanda & Greg St. Clair, Erica Timms, Gina Timms & Elliot Biagini; Great Grandpa to Mason, Kelly and Zach; a special friend to many fortunate enough to have shared a part of life's journey with him.

What dad treasured most was sharing time with his family and friends. At age 18, he migrated to the U.S. from Italy and did not speak a word of English. His incredibly hard-working ethics truly made him the very successful man he was in more ways than one. His passion for music, Italian polkas and more, was a staple in our family home. He loved to dance and his smooth glide was the envy of many dance partners at several of the social clubs where he and our mom were members for many years. Everyone wanted to dance with George. Although not a cook himself, he loved great food. Making Polenta was known as his one and only culinary claim to fame, his specialty, and he was proud of that! He loved reading about history and loved to reminisce and story tell about his past and childhood days in Italy. His genuine love, care and un-selfish support to all was endless. We are forever grateful to him.

George was so very fortunate to be blessed with a wonderful extended family as well. He was respected as nothing less than their own. Miranda Mori, his loving partner of the past 21 years and her loving and caring family Cindy Mori, Lisa and Cliff Cassin and Cathy Mori; AKA Nonno George to Nick, Curtis, Franco, Alec and Isabella shared many treasured memories with dad that will never be forgotten.

Dad passed in San Mateo on December 28, 2017 at the age of 89.

Friends are welcome to pay their respect to George on Thursday January 4, 2018 at 11am at Sneider & Sullivan &O'Connell's Funeral Home, 977 S. El Camino Real, San Mateo. Committal Service will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 1500 Mission Rd., Colma.

Donations to the American Cancer Society are greatly appreciated.
