Tribute & Message From The Family

Sadly, we report that Nelson Eddy Melendez, 54, of San Mateo passed away suddenly in a car accident on December 9th, 2017. He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 22 years, Cynthia, his daughters Jocelyn, Alexa and Angeli. As well as his mother, Rosa Alejandrina Aspajo de Melendez, sisters Rosa Esperanza and Cliden de Jesus, and brothers Cesar Alejandro, Warner Raul, and Jaime Eduardo, who all live in Lima, Peru. All his nephews and nieces will also miss him very much.

Nelson moved to San Mateo from his native Peru in October of 1986, and married Cynthia Peralta on February 25,1995. He worked many jobs, but the one he is most remembered by is working as a Showroom Coordinator & Sales Rep for Winward Silks International. He worked there for approximately 23 years. After leaving Winward, he also worked at Air Serve at the SF airport helping passengers with their tickets, bags and great customer service. His latest job opportunity was working for Aramark. He was so proud and happy to be working for them. He had so many ideas and projects ahead of him, but unfortunately his life was taken suddenly and these goals were never reached.

Everyone leaves a legacy, and Nelson's will be seen by those whose lives he touched with his eminent gentleness, friendliness, and willingness to give a helping hand, whether at work, in his neighborhood, or in his community.

Mass and funeral services were held at St. Timothy's Catholic church in San Mateo on Friday December 15th.

Those who wish to do so may make a memorial contribution to their go fund me page. https://www.gofundme.com/bp48em-help-the-melendez-family?pc=sms_db_co2876_v1&rcid=c0b60a6ed16043d48c93f47f5e787b83
