"Seeing Frank's obituary brought back many fond memories. My family lived across Mission St. on Florentine, just two doors up from Mission. Dad had an account at Frank and Charlie's when it was known as Reese and Gross. If I recall correctly, Frank and Charlie worked for Reese and Gross and purchased the business. One of the first things Frank and Charlie did was to build a new station! On Halloween they would team up with Dom's market (adjacent to the station) and conduct a costume competition, giving goodies to all the kids in the neighborhood. When I had a flat tire on my bike, they showed me how to fix it, loaned me the tools and gave me the materials to fix it in there lube room. They were a great asset in the neighborhood. God Bless."
