Obituary

Petrina Pearl "Rena" Noero, born on June 27,1926 in San Francisco to Peter & Catherine Cvitanich. She was raised in S.F. and attended Balboa High School. Rena was always involved in sports and was the President of the Girls Athletic Association. She belonged to the Slavonic Mutual Benevolent Society and was involved in Altar Society work at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in San Mateo. She enjoyed 30 years of volunteer work at Seton Medical Center (Daly City) and at Mills Hospital (San Mateo). Rena loved to golf at the California Golf Club (South San Francisco), Poplar Creek (San Mateo) and in later years, Crow Canyon Country Club (Danville).

Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joseph J. (Joe) Noero; sisters: Katie Zlokovich & Lena Lesher; and brother Frank Cvitanich.

Survived by her loving children: Christine D. Powell & Ronald P. Noero; 4 granddaughters: Jennifer D. Powell, Stacey A. Hummell, Andrea R. Powell & Nicole Noero; 5 great-grandchildren: Ava L.Crouse, Micah S.B.Tannenbaum, Kaia R. Hummell, and Hunter & Dakota Noero; and many nieces and nephews.

Some called her Reenie-Deenie, some called her Nana Banana, some of us called her mom, but she was best known as "Nana". Nana was truly loved by everyone who met her. She left this world peacefully, which is just the way she lived.

A private service of remembrance will be held on February 11, 2021. Interment will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma, CA.
